Title: end all be all joystick?
Post by: tony.silveira on August 05, 2013, 11:44:43 pm
the arcade modding fire is bruning in my belly again so my revised panel is now on the front burner and i am looking for the ultimate joystick.  i currently have 4 sticks on my cab (2 per player) with two having the magnetic mod to slip on trigger sticks.  i would like to do this for all four sticks though.

i am *itching* to try the u360 but would like to try and keep all 4 sticks the same if i can.  so, i'm looking for some feedback.  my ultimate joystick would be:

u360 with removable ball (so i can do trigger stick mods)
servo switching 4/8 restrictor plate (this could hurt some the analogue of a u360 but it's a trade off i can live with)
rotary (ala heatseeker86's mod)

are all my wants above just a pipe dream for a single stick?

i've never felt a u360, are they good for classic games?

so many options, i have no idea what path to go down...

I was planning on buying a u360 to convert it to an analog trigger flight stick, but was told by a much more knowledgable poster that the u360 doesn't like wires in the center and wouldn't make a good trigger stick. The same poster said that the ServoStik was fine to use as a trigger stick.
