I need help tracking down either a parts list or item # for a part for a washing machine. It's out of warranty by a couple months and the door latch assembly/lock broke.
It's a Samsung WF330ANB/XAA front loading. Samsung support gave me the phone # of a place but they aren't open on weekends. My search fu is way off as I haven't been able to locate any parts lists. The only part that I have found was for a top loading machine. Any suggestions, places to look, or advice?
Thanks!

I've heard of people printing these types of parts for appliances with 3D printers. Doesn't help you much though. :-\

Ok from my storied past of washing home washing machine repair I can tell you that in most cases, the model number of the washer is completely useless. These days machines are assembled via a random collection of generic parts. On top of that, after a washer gets kind of old you can't find info on it.
You need to take the physical part off and look for a number on it. If that fails you need to do an image search for the part and find one that looks the same or close and that will give you the specific name and you can do some detective work from there.
I've worked on my own washer and grandma's several times over the years, the model number of the washers has never been helpful. Also sears will charge you triple what the part is worth. Buy washing machine parts NEW off of ebay. You'll get the exact same part for much less because you are essentially ordering it directly from China. (Yup all the replacement parts are made in China, unfortunately) The dog gears broke on Grandma's agitator a couple of months ago and I bought TWO kits off of Ebay for 1/3 the price of a single one via sears or your typical appliance shop.

+1 for RepairClinic. I've fixed my dryer twice my washer once, and each time I was able to gather enough info on that site to make repairs with the right part the first time. Even after multiple part substitutions. Lots of good videos, too.

Thanks for the help gents. I looked for awhile on Saturday but couldn't find it. I used the info from Ed and Turvey to locate it and placed the order this morning. Dervacumen, I've used repairclinic before and just couldn't find it. Howard, I'll be doing the repair myself so hopefully it goes fairly smoothly (knock on wood).
Supposed to have the part on Wednesday so we'll see.

Fortunately for us handy types there isn't much on washers, so you shouldn't have any trouble.

Same here. Washer a couple times, dryer a couple times, water heater, dishwasher... RepairClinic's forums will help you figure out the actual manufacturer and the part you need. Especially if you man up and pay the $5 or so for the premium membership to thank them for the help.

Looks like you found it, but for others I used Sears to find the part# and then ebay to buy it so I could see a pict.
