is there a way to remove loading or ram check screens when selecting game (MAME) :dunno
-
That screen looks like part of the original arcade game start-up process, therefore it will be in MAME.
Unless there is a dipswitch setting that disables self-test on power-up, the only way to get rid of it is to rewrite the program.
You should ask the MAME Devs to do that. >:D >:D >:D
(Just kidding. Don't even think about trying it.)

Couldn't you do something like create a save at each games title screen and make mame load the save when launching the game????

Turn the autosave feature on. Not all games support it, but many of the popular games do. You'll only see that stuff the first time you play each game.

My understanding is it happnes once then once the game is played a second time it disappears. Haven't sat with the software long enough to find out. If you would like to find to find out I would start a game, play for five minutes and start again.
