Hi Guys,
Who use a Big flat Monitor in vertical orientation for his arcade, which model and are you happy with it? I'm wondering if it's a good idea for my project or is it too much hassle.
Thanks.

ah ok a mame cab.. so are u talking an lcd screen?
will you be outputting video via your vga port of your pc gfx card, and how are you planning to get that into the tv, eg. vga to scart cable?

I want to use a PC monitor, connected with HDMI.
My question is more about the monitor orientation: vertical or horizonta. I would like to heard personal experiences and advice. I think about buying a 14:10 monitor to get the biggest area used for mame.

a 4:3 monitor would get you the most screen area used, but since those are pretty rare, 5:4 (1280x1024) screens are actually still made. I don't know about HDMI, but HDMI -> DVI adapters are inexpensive and you still keep a fully digital signal that way.
