Title: saving threads?
Post by: michelevit on July 30, 2013, 10:27:26 am
Is there a way to save threads as favorites on this forum?
I've been perusing the archives and it would be a nice feature to save threads that are interesting to the reader.
Bookmarking them would work, but I read this forum on several machines.

Thanks again for providing this great resource.

I'm not sure if there is a way to do that or not.  You can click the Notify button, which will email you when someone replies to a thread you are interested in.   If you start using google chrome as your browser, then  your bookmarks would sync across all of your devices.

Above the thread on the right, there should be an "Add Bookmark" button.
In the top section, just below your avatar, there is a "My Bookmarks" tab.
This is on the forum, not on your PC and will be available wherever you are signed in.

I think this may vary by the forum theme you are using.
I'm using the default (Curve)
The theme can be changed under Profile>Account Settings>Look and Layout

Yeah, IIRC, there was a theme where the bookmark feature was completely missing. If in doubt, change theme.

THANKS!!!

i changed themes and sure enough a bookmark button appeared just like you suggested.
That makes things much easier. Now I can bookmark away.

I never knew you could change themes. The default theme does not have the bookmark button.
