Jpac is jamma plugable.  The x arcade adapter is just an interface like the ipac, keywiz, and many others.  You are comparing apples to oranges.  The conversion of a jamma cab for use with a pc is exactly what the jpac was designed for.

Unless the monitor in your cabinet is tri-sync or high res, you will need to configure your PC to output arcade resolutions or you won't get a picture or even worse - break your monitor.
