Title: Suggestions for monitor tech in So-Cal Orange County area?
Post by: ROMconstruct on July 10, 2013, 07:01:15 am
I have a WG 25K7197 that's functional, but likely needs some new caps. The lines start to separate near the top of the screen, and the image starts to get a little wavy. The horizontal size is also too big, and I can't get it perfectly centered vertically. Colors are strong, perhaps a bit too much red (I haven't adjusted the driver pots, though). It's still usable, and at some resolutions like 640x288, it looks perfect. Anyway, I'm looking to hire a local pro to clean it up, see what they can do to make it awesome. I have the monitor pulled from the cab and sitting on my workbench, but I'm just not keen on pulling the chassis since I don't know what I'm doing. Either a service that does house calls or someplace local enough that I could drive the whole monitor over to would be great. (I'd prefer the house call, as I'm kind of scared to move the thing around too much, hehe.)

Thanks, google was the first thing I checked. I just figured I would ask for a reference, or maybe a local hobbyist does this sort of thing on the side.
