Title: Scratch & Dent Wide bartop
Post by: HaRuMaN on July 06, 2013, 09:54:21 pm
Any interest in a scratch and dent widescreen bartop? FedEx had their way with one of my outgoing packages...

I can post some pictures if anyone is interested. I was thinking 50% off, so, $105 shipped including plexi.

It will be repacked before shipping, of course.

Any takers?

With the melamine boards you are using that kind of damage is probably going to be difficult and fairly expensive (time investment and materials) to repair and most end users that can spend the time to do that would probably just start with full panels and make their own - the type of consumer that orders your packs are looking to either save the time and or do not have the tools\skills to cut their own - so the number of those that could buy the damaged kit and repair it are very limited even at a reduced cost !

Might be easier to just reuse the non damaged pieces and recut new pieces from a sheet (if there is any spare space on the CNC layout to fit them into future cuts) rather than try to sell as a damaged unit. Or just toss the thing\use it as scrap, since that type of damage should have been covered by the shipping company and you should be compensated by them for the damage anyway !

but that crack is on the inside part and not very visible.  If it was on the outside, you could sand it, patch it, and use vinyl to cover. Im not big on throwing things out that can be pretty easily fixed.
