Should I dare ask how thermite happens to ignite on a coin door? Firework platform?

Coin Door + Thermite (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=U1WPWKllZqk#ws)

It wasn't much of the stuff. A mere 150 grams.

Umm, bit of a waste of a coin door in my opinion, these are expensive to buy here in the UK, oh hum............

Just a simple burn-thru?

Maybe next time you can use ceramic tile shaped to focus the reaction into a pattern.

Bonus points if the pattern is recognizable, perhaps an outline of a bee.

Man, if that's a Happ, I sure could use the coin box chassis thing.

Was it this one?

No worries guys I only torched the bottom door. It was already beat to ---steaming pile of meadow muffin--- and wanted something to torch with the thermite. The rest of it is in great condition. If anyone wants it let me know and I will remove the burned door.

It came out of a Golden Tee cab I am converting that use to be a dragon's lair per the control panel that was under the GT one.

Anybody really needing a coin door without shelling out $150 for a new Happ over/under just send me a message. I killed a bunch of incomplete dart board cabs and moldy cabs over the last few months and have probably 8 or 10 doors available. They are about evenly split between over/unders and those single doors that are larger than the Williams/Midway style.

If need be I'll even hit them up with a fresh coat of hammered paint and make sure they have working quarter mechs before I ship them out. Prices vary by style and conditional but are reasonable

I also have a nice owl eye door and an import Taito door with separate vault, but those aren't going to be cheap.

It'd certainly end up looking like that in Mame jail.

I have no need nor will I buy the parts needed for it to be a full coin door. If anyone wants it let me know and just pay shipping, cheers!

The missing bits generally cost more than a complete door does.
