Meritline has something they are calling a Komodo Wired USB Controller for for $7.99 -$2 with promo code MLCKD24XNL1 = $5.99 + free shipping. It looks a lot like a PS3 controller to me.

I ordered two for a cabinet I'm working on. I wanted to rig up Super Nintendo controllers, but I couldn't pass this deal up. I've ordered some stuff from Meritline in the past and they are pretty reputable.
Just thought I'd share; I'm not sure where this belongs.

I haven't personally used one, but I've been looking at reviews for that and a lot of people are saying they're actually pretty good, definitely worth the 7 dollars it's listed at. Thanks for the share, I might pick up a few!

One little update - the coupon only works once per customer. It did not accept it when I placed a second, separate order. It does work if you get a bit creative and set up another account.

The coupon has expired now.
Miketron, after you receive yours and test them out could you possibly post back and say how they are? I'm interested and might buy them in the future if they are good. Thanks!

Sure will. I don't understand their business model; I have ordered a bunch of stuff from them totaling no more than $50. It's usually lower but acceptable quality stuff. I will post that in the review forum but link to it from here.

I actually used a set of those for a bartop for a gentleman that wanted to play some console games. They work very well.

Komodo (now know as KMD) makes some pretty decent stuff.
Most low end third party comptrollers are complete crap, KMD stuff is just kind of crap (compared to OEM). ;)
The name change happened in late 2011 so this is likely just old stock = why so cheap.

This looks to be a good deal for a wired ps3 pad. If the analog is good, you probably have yourself a good deal. I really like meritline.

If you were specifically looking for hooking up SNES controllers, the dual controller USB converters for those will only cost you $12. I think Amazon even holds them for that price.
