Okay! So here is the story and how my life got flipped turned upside down .... I have a Big Blue Capcom arcade cab, came with original monitor. I have fixed it up, and am ready to wire and install a pc to mame it. I purchased the ArcadeVGA card to hook it up and low and behold the PC i was going to use doesnt have a slot that fits the video card.
It's my old pc i thought i could get some more use out of (Pentium 4 2 Ghz, 768mb RAM) anyways .... I have the cables, the ipac 2, but now I dont have a way to hook it up to the monitor.
My GeForce 3 card in the machine is capable of going down to 50-60hz .... and I dont think that's low enough, and I dont want to harm the arcade monitor i have. (Wells Gardner P358)
Should I just plug my video card into the monitor? will that damage it? Should I use Soft15khz to get it to work? Should I buy a new used PC and use that with the ArcadeVGA card I have?
Please help, teach me so that I may help others = )

TLDR Version; Can I plug my old video card into my arcade monitor at 50-60hz? will that damage it? if so what kind of damage? Should I try Soft15khz or get a new pc that can accommodate my arcadevga card?
thanks for the help!

i know nothing about MAME.
no arcade monitor runs that KHZ that i am aware of, not even the tri sync monitors or digital monitors that are CRT based.
you will damage the chassis if you run the wrong KHZ too it for to long.
yes that high of KHZ will damage that chassis, if i think you have the monitor you have in that cab.
and i have never heard of a P358.
did you mean a P538??
post a pic if you are not sure.

knowing nothing about MAME but knowing you have to have soft15khz for it to run on a K7000 you will have to find another computer.
if you would like/need the monitor worked on i fix that chassis type on a regular basis.

e-mail sent! thank you so much!
I have yet to plug it in, I am just very worried about the soft15khz program, I dont want my pc to damage my monitor .... and what kind of damage will it do?

it can smoke different parts each time depending on the condition and wear that the chassis has seen over the years from heat and other things.
