Hi, I have a Rowe Ami R90 jukebox with pioneer CD player fitted. I want to add my Squeezebox player so it plays through the jukebox as this would give me access to my digital music through the warm sound of the jukebox. I had hoped that there would be an easy aux in point I could use but on looking at the amp (photo attached) there seems to be a plug in what is labelled as aux in/ out socket. Is the CD player connected via this socket? Can I utilise this socket even though there is an existing plug in it? Or is there a better way to connect an external device such as the Squeezebox?
Thanks for any advice that anybody can give, I know we have some Rowe Ami/ Jukebox professes signals on this forum.
Cheers

Rowe makes an optional accessory circuit board that mounts on the face of the amplifier. It has a bunch of RCA jacks on it that give you access to all kinds of inputs and outputs of the amplifier.
Rowe kit # 26694703 Amplifier Accessory Board Kit, for model R-90 through CD-100-E
Here are the instructions for the kit:
http://arcarc.xmission.com/PDF_Jukebox/Rowe_AMI/Rowe_Amplifier_Accessory_Board_Kit_26694703_%28Rev_3-93%29.pdf (http://arcarc.xmission.com/PDF_Jukebox/Rowe_AMI/Rowe_Amplifier_Accessory_Board_Kit_26694703_%28Rev_3-93%29.pdf)
The kit can be purchased from any Rowe jukebox distributor's parts department or from Happ Controls. Sometimes used kits show up on ebay.

Hello Pete,
Welcome to the forum.
Ken is correct the best way to go would be the auxillary board.
I can see that the top connection plug on the aux input/output connection is an output (more than likely to the sound to light unit) this uses pins 2 & 4 plus the ground at number 3.
I also that there is some other screened cables going below to maybe another plug underneath more than likely an input for CD with connection to pins 1 7 5 and again the common on pin 3.
Because of the length of the connection pins for the input, aux input/output and volume it could allow for more than one connector fitted, On the input & volume it was common practice to place a blank plug lower down on the connection pins to avoid shorts from screens on the upper connection plug if pushed to far down the pins.

Hi Every one I have just got the very Accessory board mentioned above with the above linked instructions .. the photo at the top shows the amp I have My problem is that the instructions are not very clear
in the step by step bit
Step
No4 . I can work out where the 13 pin plug can goes ref ( fig 1 ref 3 )
but it says
no5 plug auxiliary interconnect Cable (fig 1 ref 4) into amp aux input
but where is that I think its the five pins in the above pic just above the 13 pins .. its the only 5 pins on the amp but what do I do with the plug that's on that already ...
then it say

the microphone interconnect cable (fig 1 - ref 5 must always be installed
do step c in no mic's are used
C says plug cable into the amps microphone input but I have no idea where that is at all Help pls
Note

This kit is made for the R-90 and up.
The R-86 takes a completely different amplifier accessory board kit # 2-66974-02 instead. Sometimes it is listed as 26697402.

I have a 6074382 amp for my R85.
I can find the accessory board 60792702 which apparently is for the r90 and up.
Does anyone know what the accessory board part number is for the r85? I cannot seem to locate the 26697402 kit, but perhaps if I knew the actual board part number I could track that down.
Many thanks!

Hello Matt,
The listed part number for the Amplifier Accessory Kit is 2-66947-01.
I have the correct board in stock with the 3 pin auxillary connection part numbers (Rowe Ami have a habit of confusion) on the front of the board 6-07443-01 and etched on the circuit board 6-07442-01.
