How does the Happ 3" translucient ball compare with the standard white one? Are they the same weight and do they have the same feel?
-
Don't mean to be off-topic, but...
This balls jokes are getting old, aren't they? :P
Anyways...continue with whatever you were about to say/type...

This has been asked and answered many times.
The white one is heavier and gives more resitance and more momentum. The preference is for the feel of the white one but many people like color choices.

How MUCH difference is there?

Welp. if the only trackball you've ever played with was a colored translucent one then you would think its fine because you wouldn't know any better. If you grew up playing on solid white/black polymer trackballs and then tried a clear resin ball you most likely wouldn't like it as much. Or if you did infact have both types of trackballs in front of you and rolled them then you would clearly feel the difference. Its not THAT big of a deal. I own both as I just had to have a translucent blue one to illuminate on my first cabinet. The cab I'm building now has a white polymer ball because I'm going for feel this time rather then looks.

I also own both a translucent 3" trackball and a solid white one. The solid white one feels much heavier. I prefer the heavier action for sure.

i'd say mine, but then again i have both blue balls and white balls. Just depends what your after. The lighted balls are favorites because they have the "cool"factor as a bonus as well.
