Title: Mapping buttons just for NeoGeo games

I have a 7 button layout and running Mala FE. I'm wanting to map the bottom 4 buttons for all neogeo games once, not for each game, and have the regular layout for all other games... I believe that once I read somewhere that this can be done, but can't find any info on it now. Does anyone know how I can do this either in Mala or Mame itself?

you can also hit TAB in game and map them that way.
