This build is going to be a Super Street Fighter IV bartop. I'm using a PC version of the game. Will be mostly used for playing online but will add 2 player controls for the occasional 2P game. I'm going with a Vewlix inspired look with this one.
There won't be any MAME games on this. I may add Tekken X Street Fighter though.

I like the idea of using a Vewlix style for a bartop.
Looking forward to seeing the progress.

I like the sound of this, And its an interesting concept The vewlix Type bar top. Ill be watching this one for sure. To be honest its similar to a design I have drawn up myself a few months ago before I decided to go down the safe traditional bar top design, so id like to see how you tackle this. What sort of PC spec are you thinking about given the Online play you want. Good luck with this build..

4Gb DDR2 RAM
60GB SSD
Asus 9500Gt Video Card
Win XP

Very cool man ! Very cool !
I'd love to do something like this............... mind you I'd settle for finally getting the PC versions (which I own) installed onto my Mario Mame.
Looking forward to seeing what you do with this !

Nice project !
I would appreciate you tell me how you will play to Street Fighter IV with arcade buttons and, without keyboard or mouse to launch it.
I tried but failed because this game needs a Windows Live account to be played.
So i you had a solution... please explain !
I'll follow your project.

Small update. I've been really busy lately so haven't had much time to myself. Managed to get a little bit done today. Here's a couple of pics:

Quick mock up with the monitor in place, it's a 20" widescreen Fujitsu monitor.

You can do it Paul,
It's a dirty job, but somebody's gotta do it

Control panel and bezel now cut. Still have lots to do with the control panel to give it the vewlix look, this week I've purchased a large chamfer bit for the angled front of the CP.

I've also attached the marquee corners using tape to see how they will look. :dunno

It's now going to be a 1 player. It really needed to be wider for 2 players, so I would of needed at least a 24" monitor.

This is a cool looking design. If you want the option of having a 2nd player, you could always mount a USB port around the back and build an external player 2 controller.

Very Very Cool... Coming on nicely my friend. Forget about the slow progress bit. Build it in your own time. Keep the Pics coming when you can.. :applaud: :applaud:

Great style on this build! Are you thinking that the sideart will be minimal, and the marquee and panel more elaborate?
