Title: weecade clone bezel details
Post by: discobiscuits on June 06, 2013, 09:29:45 am
Hi guys,

Looking for some help with my bartop weecade clone I have started.

I've tried to do a lot of research into the bezel which fronts the LCD screen. Most people seem to spray some plexi which seems ok. However I haven't seen any details of how to fix the plexi to the wooden cab? I've only seen nice pictures of it infront of the screen.

Any ideads? My cp will butt up againt the bezel.

Haven't built a weecade clone but looking at the plans and the pics in this thread ( http://forum.arcadecontrols.com/index.php/topic,132681.0.html (http://forum.arcadecontrols.com/index.php/topic,132681.0.html) ) -- Seems that the plans call for a wooden bezell in front of the monitor attached to the marquee above and side of the cab on the bottom forming an angled install.

Then the Plexi would just be put into place so that gravity holds it in -- the marquee above is anged so that you place the bottomof the plexi into the channel formed by the CP and wooden bezel which will hold the bottom in place and then the top just slides back onto the wooden bezel resting on it and forming a fit with the angle of the marquee above it forming a nice resting place for the plexi with no need to hold it in place with anything other than gravity.

The pics in the posted link show a pretty good illustration of how it will hold in place so that you can see the channel between the CP and Wooden bezel and the angle of the marquee which will support the top of the plexi as it slides back on the top.
