Also:
F1 Allstars would be $8 http://www.greenmangaming.com/s/us/en/pc/games/racing/f1-race-stars/ (http://www.greenmangaming.com/s/us/en/pc/games/racing/f1-race-stars/)
(MarioKart type game with cartoon versions of real F1 drivers)
Fuel $2.71 http://www.greenmangaming.com/s/us/en/pc/games/racing/fuel/ (http://www.greenmangaming.com/s/us/en/pc/games/racing/fuel/)
Those activate on Steam.
Also these which require "capsule client", but I don't know if the 20% code works on them.
I'm still debating on whether to get them or not. I have enough of these games that I've picked up cheap to keep me busy for years.
I'll update if I end up buying them.....I probably will if it's $4 for both. :lol
SSV8 Superstar V8 Racing $2.49 ($2 if the coupon code works) http://www.greenmangaming.com/s/us/en/pc/games/racing/ssv8-superstar-v8-racing/ (http://www.greenmangaming.com/s/us/en/pc/games/racing/ssv8-superstar-v8-racing/)
SSV8NC Superstar V8 Next Challenge $2.49 ($2 if the coupon code works) http://www.greenmangaming.com/s/us/en/pc/games/racing/ssv8nc-superstar-v8-next-challenge/ (http://www.greenmangaming.com/s/us/en/pc/games/racing/ssv8nc-superstar-v8-next-challenge/)

It's more arcade-like than GRID is, although I think the car wrecks too easily in both games.
If you like GRID you'll like it.
IMO, they are both too sim compared to the real arcade games from the 90's that I love.
I can't wait until 90's Arcade Racer comes out and we have that gameplay with modern graphics.
One of the reasons I like Fuel is because you pretty much have to you fall off a cliff or go underwater for it to consider you crashed. :)

Have you gotten Fuel working with your wheel?
I started to mess with it, but kind of gave up. Seems to be more of a gamepad game (which means I can hack it... but just haven't yet)

Haven't tried yet, but was looking forward to playing it on the cab. I have a thing for driving around aimlessly offroad.
I've just been playing it on the living room tv with an xbox controller hooked up to my laptop. I assumed since it was codemasters, it wouldn't be an issue. :-\

I think its going to require the same level of effort that Ridge Racer Unbounded took. Not a big deal.

GRID 2 unlocked on steam for me last night. Jury is still out but I can't get my hpattern working with it, as there's a bug in the controller config menu. Gonna play some mroe tonight.

You know, we all seem to be building up similar PC gaming collections.
Should post steam / origin / EA account names so we can try and sync up in game(s)?

Sounds like a plan, maybe even post some of the games we play online?
Steam: Warborg
Origin: Warborg_Omega
I have pretty much every Need For Speed game out there, except maybe Pro Street, Dirt 2/3, Grid, FUEL, and Driver San Francisco... As far as shooters (my favorite) most of the Call of Duty's, all of the Battlefield, L4D1/2, Aliens Colonial Marines, all the DOOMs, etc.

Most of my steam racing games are from emulators :lol

Dirt 2/3 is a grear arcade racer. The rally events are good fun. Its a good balance between Rally Point A-B and arena lap events. I think they did a good job at modeling both off road and asphalt roads.
Grid 2 just came out and is also good fun if you are into arcade racers.

Guys seriously don't even bother with any of those older Codemasters games at this point. Because trust me...GRID 2 is the only arcade racer you will need going forward.
Grid 2 is turning out to be a PHENOMENAL game!!!!!! The more I play it online the more fun I'm having. I'm now lvl 20 and have now bought some of the higher tier faster cars. The McLaren MP4 is a freakin' BEAST!!!!!!! Seriously, have any of you played Super GT/Scud Race from Sega lately? Y'know how the McLaren in that game feels? How it's super fast and very slippery? How just a small lift off the gas can starts to make the car slide? Well that is EXACTLY how the car feels in GRID 2! I mean like almost a carbon copy! I swear I feel like I'm playing Super GT 2/Scud Race 2 whenever I drive McLaren MP4 in GRID 2. So hard to tame but so rewarding when you pull off that perfect drift. The damn car soooo fast! I'm talking F-ZeroGX/OutRun 2 fast! Not kidding! The sense of speed in the game with the faster cars is out of this WORLD!!! I don't even know if I can go back to iRacing now after experiencing this. This is THE love letter to old Sega arcade racers if there ever was one.

To everyone that's not isamu - its totally OK to buy older games and enjoy them until the wee hours of the morning (at rock bottom prices to boot!)! :D

Lately I've been paying more for Windows 95 to XP era games, than those 3-10 years old. :lol :'(
The gigantic boxes of the day crack me up.

Yeah I'm into the older ones myself.
I'm refraining from buying any racers until I get my rig finished... that way I'll stay on task.
Btw, a little off-topic, but do you guys think I could get away with a laptop for my rig? I've been thinking that it would save a lot of space on the design and aside from the games in Model2/Supermodel, I'm not particularly interested in the 3d emulated games. So I was thinking either get a slightly outdated one, or a used one. I'm pretty knowledgeable in terms of what I can get away with on the emulation side of things, but not the pc games.

If you are interested in a laptop I happen to be selling one. It's a Sager Laptop with an 18.4" display and pre-loaded with Windows 7 64bit. Let me know if you're interested.

Well it's coming up on 3 years since I last played GRID 2(or ANY other racing games for that matter) and guess what? My birthday in June 5th. Guess what present I'll be opening? *wink* *wink* :burgerking:
