Title: Marquee shaped monitor
Post by: ids on May 28, 2013, 11:38:01 am
I know this keeps coming up, and I'm too lazy to search out the appropriate thread(s) to respond to, so here it is:

Just got pricing on some marquee shaped monitors:

ItemDescription1~99pcs
SSD1505-ENB-S01 (http://www.litemax.com/PD_Products_MDetail_51_141_1426_US_utf-8.html)15",1000nits,1280*242,O/B.AD5621GS,V01 637
SSD1915-ENB-A01 (http://www.litemax.com/PD_Products_Detail_51_141_1713_US_utf-8.html#.UaTLV9Lkvng)19",1000nits,1680*350.LID19,AD5621GA,O/B.DC12V input,V1 988
SSD1922-ENB-G01 (http://www.litemax.com/PD_Products_Detail_51_141_2303_US_utf-8.html#.UaTLj9Lkvng)19",500nits,1920*388. LID21A06,O/B,AD2662GD,V1  612
SSD2825-ENB-G01 (http://www.litemax.com/PD_Products_Detail_51_156_2282_US_utf-8.html#.UaTLyNLkvng)28",1000nits,1366*254,DC 12V. O/B,AD2662GD,2-in-1,V1 888

A bit too much for me, but maybe someone will find this useful.  Local distributor who provided pricing was future.ca
I've googled the part numbers and stuck appropriate URL's in the above table - click on the item code.

While I am curious what pricing above 100 units would be, I doubt it would come down enough to make a bulk purchase feasible.  I imagine there are a number of people who would like to add something like this to a cab, but not to many would pay $600, or even $500.  I've asked for pricing over 100 units and will update when I get the numbers.

If anyone is willing to pay this much, I can provide you contact details for the person who provided this quote, or you can go to litemax.com and seek out a contact.  If anyone knows of a cheaper alternative - please do share!

That's still well out of my price range.  I wish these were much cheaper.

Thanks for the ebay link - I'd pick that up in a heartbeat, but he does not ship to Canada :'(

fwiw, just got bulk pricing:

Still too rich for my blood, just to animate my marquee.  Searching ebay Canada for the LG comes up empty :(.  Actually, searching ebay.com and I cannot find the one linked.  I must be doing something wrong.  ???
