Title: Multistandard PAL/NTSC euro scart TV
Post by: EvilDindon on May 27, 2013, 10:40:20 am
Hi,

Just installed calamity and groovy, it rocks !

What is the best preset to use in Vmmaker.ini (and mame.ini) for a scart RGB pal/ntsc TV ?

I let the default "CUSTOM" preset.

Is taht right ?

Cheers,

Mike from France.

Hi EvilDindon,

For a SCART TV, just use the default values in vmmaker ("CUSTOM", and the default monitor_specs line). This will be good enough in most cases, although some centering from service menu may be required.

Ok cool.

You mean the service menu of the TV, right ?

Can't we center only with ArcadeOS ?

You can center the modelines with ArcadeOSD, but that will only be effective for emulators that use static modelines. GroovyMAME updates the modelines on the fly so your adjustments will be overridden.
