Title: High Score Competition all time winners breakdown

Quick criteria I have used:
10 points for every win.
2 points for every second place.
You get an asterisks for every 5 second places that result in 10 points for example Gray_Area has 40* = 3 x 1st place and 5 x 2nd place
and finally the RESULTS of the ongoing High Score Competition 001-143

No one won 3 time in a row so far.* (*see below). Some came close with 2 wins and 1 second but not 3 in a row... yet!
BREAKING NEWS!!! POPSICLE IS THE VERY FIRST 3 IN A ROW WINNER!!!
kixfan was on a mad tear for awhile but, then he slowed down. <- Old news as of 7/2014, he is back at it
If Bender ends up one more time in 2nd place, he will be the only one with 10 points having 5 2nd places!

Yeah, to be a high scorer in this kind of affair, you have to play games you don't care for....or like more games.......

Nice work..

Dependant on members joining dates, they might have missed a lot of these competitions, I wonder how the high score leaderboard converts? (just saying.... I'm not gonna sit and do it!!)
 
I've started tackling older ones on the high score list. Saves the pain of setting up a new game thread too. Lazy i know. Not to mention the stinker of a game i picked!!

Would be nice to see people re-tackling the older ones. See if anyone can knock people from their perches!

I did that semi-recently with DK. Took me probly a year of intermittent playing. Not because I didn't beat it, but because I didn't beat it in newer MAME, which I find kind of harder, and since it's supposed to be more authentic an all.....

That's why I mentioned kixfan's "mad tear", because he joined in on the fun pretty late and yet managed to be 2nd best!

As for trying to outdo prior competitions, there is a separate pinned thread just for that!
