Title: Help: JOUST ! Can't Get It To Load MAME

Can anyone help me out.

I had a 2600 when I was a kid in 88. A full decade after it came out. I found it rubbish compared to my C64 even Spectrum at the time. The games. Pah. BUT! There was an all out classic on there.
It was Joust. Does anyone know how I can get that working on my mini cab ?

My rom won't load. And I loved Joust.

Anyone got any ideas on how to get it working ? I never played it on arcade and I am itching to have a crack at it.

I've got MAME v139 and the roms fro joust  load fine here (though IIRC the first time they were loaded they locked up after the system check before the game runs with a "factory Settings Restored" screen but exiting and reloading the rom a second time gets the game loaded and from then on they work fine ! (so if you haven't tried exiting and restarting give that a try !! -- Otherwise what version of the rom are you using and does it match the version of MAME you are using ?
