OK. 1st cab. Getting past point of no return. Combination of two concepts:
Simplified lines on OND's cab:

(love this design - slim, classic and nice feature at bottom)
Modular Control Panel - by Doc:

(perfect - CP slim and classic + can expand CP with time + tidy!)
[Edit] Pic attached. Thanks!
Also attached the sketchup file - so any pro builders out there fancy helping out a newb - please feel free to teardown + pre-warn! [scrap that - file too big :( )
(P.S. - that sub kicking about because.... well y'know! ;) )
Cheers folks

You might want to move that trackball further away from the monitor.
Just picture trying to do a Golden Tee "Superman" shot . . .

You can tell the weather was improving over here, all of a sudden people in the UK start thinking about building things. ;)
Sadly it was all a trap and now the rain is settling back in. :badmood:
I'll be watching this one with interest. Best of luck!
edit:
Oh and as far as getting a picture out of Sketchup goes, File -> Export -> 2d Graphic... should do the trick.
It saves the picture based on where your camera is in Sketchup when you do it.

Cheers kingchimp - one lives and learns! And well spotted with the weather connection - oh for a workshop.. or even a garage!
Thanks PL1 - CP layout on pic just a dummy - but now know about trackball placement!
While I'm kicking off on my build - has anyone any advice on the following:
1. Best cover over the monitor - plexiglass, glass or something else. Would prefer non-reflective - and read that tinted works well?
2. Sub in bottom of cabinet - worth the extra expense+loss of cab space? Running 4 speakers off a car stereo hotwired to PSU supply.
3. Whoa... coin doors/spinners/trackballs are expensive! Cheap alternatives?
4. CP is 5 degree angle and 95cm h to button tops - good height/angle?
Just got my 24" 16:10 monitor off ebay for £40!!! The parts are accumulating :) Really should be doing something more life-productive :)

Hmmm... guess I better get forum crawling :)
