Anyone playing? I'm just shy of 50,000 kills and enjoying it still. I played MW3 for a few months and then started playing BOps. I wasn't a fan of MW3 but loved BOps.
BOps2 has some good qualities (Pick 10 is awesome) and some things that aren't my favorite. I don't get all butt hurt about the target finder, quick scoping and other stuff that a lot of the COD forum regulars complain about.

My favorite guns were the KSG and the SMR. When my connection was working fine I'd manage double digits with the ksg though I'm sure the wacky hit detection when aiming down the sights with it helped more than I'd like to admit. If I didn't hate every map except the aircraft carrier one I probably would have kept it.
I thought quick scoping wasn't as useful in the Black Ops games without certain perks (at least in the first one) compared to the MW series. I'd rather use the other scope that sees through walls over target finder.

Blops II more or less allows quickscoping again.
A buddy and I finally popped it back in about a week ago after a 3-4 month hiatus. It seems they've managed to finally do something about the lag comp and such. Why they have this trouble every CoD iteration is absolutely beyond me. It's been the same engine for awhile, so why can't they reuse the previous hit detection coding that they finally got right in previous games is perplexing.
I'm not a fan of the pointstreak values. They are far too high for any of it to be realistic. What made the first Blops fun was getting a Chopper Gunner and such every so often. When playing TDM, it's damn near impossible to get those now.
I've been playing BF3 with my buddy for the last few months. It took a few weeks, but it finally grew on me. It really is best played with a friend(s) or utilizing a headset with the strangers you play with. If you're more into the lone wolf style, CoD is the better choice. I actually prefer Conquest (domination style play) on BF3 as opposed to my preference of TDM/Kill Confirmed on CoD.

For the first few months, I played in the Chaos Moshpit almost exclusively so I played a lot of TDM and KC, but also Hardpoint, Demolition, and HQ. I hadn't played those in the original BOps so it was good for me to learn to play them. The scorestreaks there come much more quickly as you can accumulate scores more easily. Recently, I been playing TDM in the lobby for the newest DLC. Studio is essentially Firing Range with a different setting (Hollywood film set) and it's been a lot of fun playing on again.

I'm actually not even going to bother with the DLC this time. Maybe if they group it all for rock-bottom pricing, but other than that, nope. Firing Range was a great map.

I just remembered how annoyed I was when they took away Nuketown maybe a week or two after the game launched. Here's a freebie but you can only play on it when we let you even though we didn't mention any of this when you bought the game.
The dlc was always overpriced for too little compared to other franchises (imo). The map packs were pretty much never on sale either.

To be fair, Nuketown was still available in various modes, but the dedicated lobby was removed. But I agree that it was frustrating when the removed that lobby. I loved playing that regardless of the game type.
