Title: U360 - joystick not working while buttoms do?

Hi

I have been a long way in building my bartop MAME machine. Have just recently started up again after a long break.

Last time I used my U360, i remember they were working just fine, but now I'm in trouble. When I go into windows controlpanel and find the U360's, then I can see that they are installed. When I press the buttoms, the I get a responce, but when I move the joysticks, the no responce.

Have tried to do some search, but can't seem to find any solutions. Can anyone please help?

Just a couple of thoughts as I have never used u360s but have you verified 5 volt power is present to the stick sensors?
Also is joystick enabled in your mame ini

Hi MGB

There is power to the joystick, as I can see there is a small led light and the pcb there is lit. Furthermore, there is acces to the computer as the computer can recognize when I press the buttons.

But there is absolutely no recognition of movement of the joystick itself??

Does the Ultimarc UltraMap utility detect the joystick movement.

Using UltraMap try changing the joystick map and programming it. Then change it back to the map you use (or no map) and program it again.
