Title: Here is a cheap no-solder solution for relay projects....
Post by: Howard_Casto on May 04, 2013, 02:01:26 am
With recent topics of automated power strips and what not, I thought that maybe people don't make them because they are afraid of soldering them on or something.

Anyway, although more expensive than buying them in bulk (what I normally do) this little module is almost a turn key solution for a lot of our projects:

I can vouch for the site... the shipping is a tad slow, but other than that.

It says it's for the arduino, but there's no special circuitry involved so it should work with just about anything.  5v on the control side and whatever (including house current) on the other.  If you are still afraid to do relay projects with something like this then there's no help for you.  ;)

:applaud: Wow, good tip! At that price, I think I'll have to try this method on my next project.

Nice find. I used a different Arduino module containing the same relay to trigger a 12V coin counter with 5V (USB) device.

The one I got was from eBay and it has screw terminals on both sides.
