i believe the diameter is about 1.25 inches. I have a bit on my drill press that will core out that size and its worked for all the buttons I have and the spinner and such.

Pretty sure the buttons are actually 1.125" or 1-1/8" -- standard arcade button size.

Then you'd better learn to feed yourself, baby bird.   >:D

Reading the product info helps.

From the Ultimarc Ultralux (http://www.ultimarc.com/ultralux.html) page:
Quote
Standard 28-30mm mounting hole

Non-metric translation = 1-1/8"

Hint 1: Happyfunball probably answered the way he did because he didn't realize that you are getting a Tornado (http://na.suzohapp.com/amusement/gameparts/95265700.htm) instead of a TT2 -- that can happen when the relevant info in the post title isn't also in the post.  ::)

Hint 2: Most spinner knobs, like the ones for Ultimarc's Spintrak, fit a 1/4" (6mm) shaft, but you may need to measure where the LEDs are if you got the illuminated Atari knob version.

Alternate method -- measure after you get it.

true I didn't notice that on the title. easy enough to measure everything when you get it though and work from there.

I just got my SpinTrak from Ultrimarc this week and it fits a 1 1/8" hole, which is identical to the standard buttons.  My old SlikStik Tornado was an under-mount and I believe the shaft went through a 1/4" hole (not absolutely sure).

This Atari spinner from Happ is out of production, but available at Arcadeworld UK.
It is also sold as Tornado Spinner.

Note that the led PCB at the sales pictures is mounted wrong. The leds must be shine down, not up.

That's why the knob tube is clear pastic.
And Only then you can use a about 12 mm hole for the Spinner axle.
