Title: Hot Glue Tip
Post by: mgb on April 29, 2013, 11:10:00 pm
Just a little tip that others may know but I thought I'd share.
back when I installed my electric ice buttons and soft switches, I noticed they were a little sloppy.
The switches had a minor amount of movement to them. It would probably be fine but I like my controls firm and tight.
what I did with them and with all builds I do for others is I use a little dab of hot glue to the switch and button arm.
Of course I have to be careful to not interfere with the actuation of the moving parts.
It works out real well and if I have to change a switch, its easy to remove still.

And I always keep a hot glue gun and some glue sticks in my tool kit.
its right between my soldering iron and be-dazzler
