Hey All,

About a month ago I posted a thread about the instructables game life contest (http://www.instructables.com/contest/gamelife3/?show=ENTRIES&sort=POPULAR), telling everyone with a cool project to enter in. Well, nobody took advantage of entering, even though you people have some of the more amazing projects I have ever seen. So, I decided to represent BYOAC myself with the Vigolix, and could use some votes to secure my project as a finalist. It will only take a minute if anyone can help me out:

1: Click here (http://www.instructables.com/account/register?sourcea=nav&skipPro=true&sourceaUrl=Instructables+-+Make%2C+How+To%2C+and+DIY) to sign up for an account. If you don't feel comfortable using your name/email, I think you can just make stuff up. There is no validation/activation step.

2: Go to my project link (http://www.instructables.com/id/A-Super-Easy-Arcade-Machine-from-1-Sheet-of-Plywoo/).

3: Click on the Orange Vote ribbon on the upper right of my page. Then vote for me under the Game.Life.3 contest. You can also vote for me for those other contests if you want.

That's pretty slick Vigo.  I voted, but not before checking out the project.  I might need to build one of these for a friend.  Damn you for getting my interest up again. ;D

Thanks for the vote and looking the project over, Dervacumen! Its a fun little cab. My oldest, who is only 2, plays* it every day. After I send him to bed, I usually play a game or two myself. When he is at his grandparent's place, he loves to play the racing version as well.


* By plays, It is more accurate to say he fires up the machine, selects the game "Swimmer"  :banghead: and then jams on the joystick until the guy runs into a log about a dozen times. At this point I put in something a bit classier, and he plays a game of "try to die the fastest", giggling like crazy when the character and dies. I then resolve to show him how the game is played and only relinquish the controls after he prys it from my hands.

I do have to admit, there is some dark humor in the fact that my kid loves throwing frogger under a semi over and over and over again.

 :lol They should, but they haven't. I myself have been wanting to change it out, but my kid is so abusive to the cabinet that I don't bother. The less they notice, the better....at least until the contest is over. Then they can grill me.  ;)

Hey, thanks Le Chuck! Yeah, I did post it here, but got too lazy to really give a full detail of my progress so it ended up being a short thread. It was also a bit hard to get back on topic after I told the tale of "Vigo Mystery files: The Case of the Defiled N64 Controller." on page 2.
