Live chat and all!

While the "Alan" on the chat would not confirm much, it does seem x-gaming is now backing/(new owners of ) this frontend. I am super excited about this. The folks at x-gaming are great and I really like this frontend.

I emailed mameseer Sunday because I couldn't register on their forum and google description is of images products. Shortly later I get a reply saying that he iced te registration on the forums, and he is working on releasing a new forum as fixing the google issue as we speak.
I haven't had any issues/bugs with setting up and running maximus arcade on widows 8 yet. He will likely see a purchase from me soon.

No Win 8 problems so far for me either.
Both Maximus and X-Arcade were mentioned in a DIY article in Popular Mechanics this month about building an Arcade Bar Table. I'm really happy that Maximus appears to be in the process of being revived.

makes me happy to see maximus arcade being revived, the live chat support is helpful. a "mark" over there was able to hook me up with a hi-res maximus arcade logo for my website.

Here is a link to that article. Bit short on detail but it does mention Maximus and X-Arcade. I think the price on the tank stick is wrong in the article $58.

Funny....when I went to the site to post the link I couldn't find the article. And in their costs they didn't list that Maximus Arcade is $25.

Seeing is believing.

Yup, just as I thought. The site is down. Looks like it's been hacked by Spyware... (see screen cap below)
Karma perhaps? :dunno

What site are you trying to access?? This site works fine for me:
http://maximusarcade.com/phpbb/ (http://maximusarcade.com/phpbb/)
As does the main page:
http://maximusarcade.com/ (http://maximusarcade.com/)
Oh, maybe it's because I'm on my iPad so perhaps I don't get spyware warnings???

Looks like it's up now. However, based on my screenshot... looks like it was compromised.
Also, you can get it for a penny cheaper here: http://maximusarcade.myshopify.com/ (http://maximusarcade.myshopify.com/)
$24.99!

I'm running mamewah on my arcades. Why is maximus arcade better? What does it come with?

I have so little frontend experience that I'm not the right person to help you, but I would say that if everything works for you and you are happy there is no reason to switch.
When I was updating my cab that I built in 1998 I looked at every available frontend, and Maximus just looked the best to me. At the time I bought I didn't care about the built in emulator support for numerous platforms other than MAME, but I've been slowly been adding them in. I noticed it also has support for LED Wiz/Blinky, so now I'm planning to add that function to my new control panel.
