So I'm trying to run police trainer and I get a: required files are missing game cannot be run
Tried on .143 and .144 both with rom sets for those.
I have policetr11, policetr, policetr13a, policetr, policetr13b all in my roms folder.
Does this work for you, any suggestions?
Seems weird to me because I had police trainer running on my cab 10 years ago, can't imagine what has changed so I figure I'm either missing something or, well, probably missing something. Is there a companion bios or a chd?

Just got it working in Mame32 .90u1
I no want to use mame32 :banghead:

Dropped Mame32 into my mame folder.
Added it as an inline emulator. Pointed MALA at mame.bat which is as follows:
if %1==policetr goto mame32
rem default MAME launch
cd C:\arcade\mame
mame %1 %2 %3 %4 %5 %6
cd ..
goto end
:mame32
cd C:\arcade\mame\mame32
mame32 %1 %2 %3 %4 %5 %6
cd ..
goto end
:end
Which is a variation of some sweet code from NOP. Better than nothing. Now time to see if the aimtraks will work with it.
Edit: Colossal waste of my time as mame32 no worky with aimtracks. Infact it won't even recognize my joystick encoder. Worthless. At least I know how to integrate other emus into my game lists. Anybody have any advice on getting this working? It's a fav of a friend and I'd like to get it up and rolling.

Tried .148 with policetr yesterday. No dice. Anybody out there have police trainer running? If so which MAME v?

Since MAWS is gone, I usually look the history up on http://www.progettoemma.net/ (http://www.progettoemma.net/) (Ricerca Rapida)
or if using a UI flavor of MAME, the same info is available from mameinfo.dat
- 0.143u1: Miodrag Milanovic fixed missing or corrupt sound in drivers using the BSMT2000 sound.
might be an issue.
It's really strange that it works on an older build since-
- 0.133u1: Renamed (polict11) to (policetr11), (polict10) to (policetr10), (plctr13a) to (policetr13a) and (plctr13b) to (policetr13b).

Thanks for digging into that, just dl'd .133b and it fired right up. I'm pretty sure that everything after .120ish is compatible with aimtraks outta the box so I'll give that a shot using the same script as above. Thanks!
Edit: Worked like a charm. Noticed Hogan's Alley won't progress past the fire to start game screen, will have to try some earlier versions for that one too. BTW, police trainer really stretches the aimtraks to their limits. That was one of a favs when I had my CRT guns but now, woof, that sucker will getcha.
