Is there anyone who is able to make a Mame ( 0.139 64 bit (not sure if UImame 64 would be possible as an alternative, although specific commandline parameters would have to be passed to it) or if the only option is command line mame, with the frame blanking "-strobe" hack, to allow motion blur free 60 FPS gaming? I ask for 0.139 because many of the Atari (system 1?) games (1985+ish) have completely broken save states on the 0.148 Strobe lightboost version.
If anyone is kind enough to do this and upload it somewhere< I would appreciate it. (i know nothing about compiling).
Here is the information on the 0.148 strobe lightboost hack version.

I just need one for the 0.139 binary, for the Gauntlet 1/Gaunt2/other Atari Games save states. I don't know what version broke Atari saves...I do know it was fine on 0.139, utterly broken on 0.145, etc.

The EmuChat board here (http://www.mameworld.info/ubbthreads/ubbthreads.php?Cat= (http://www.mameworld.info/ubbthreads/ubbthreads.php?Cat=)) will probably be of more help, though someone will have to work with you to provide the patch.

You may want to bump up this thread:
Also, you may want to bump up this thread, the person who compiled 0.148 is in this thread and might be willing to compile 0.139 too:

In your replies, mention that you are someone who uses this change and want to see it be included in the official MAME release.
