Title: Rock-ola 7000 CDJukebox
Post by: sorensenbrad on April 04, 2013, 02:43:18 pm
I have a Rock-ola 7000 CD Jukebox that the CD player has gone bad... anyone ever hear of mp3 conversion kit, they cost about the same as to replace the CD Player?

http://www.cdadapter.com/nsm4mp3.htm (http://www.cdadapter.com/nsm4mp3.htm)
Does it work with rock-ola and is any of the functionality of the jukebox intack like disc and song selection... does the mech pick up and or spin a cd to simulate playing?

Any other ideas, Im open to some sort of connector to play music from my ipod too as long as I can still use the CD's once I replace the CD player.
Please help.

I don't think there is a Rockola to mp3 player adapter out there right now. At least, I know that Ed at cdadapter does not currently make one.  I assume you have a CD Industrial or CD Pro player installed. Your best bet may be to just replace the player in the jukebox.

Good luck.

I'm highly interested in playing my iPod music over the speakers on the jukebox. Any kits or ways to connecting an iPod.
My goal now is to be able too play music from the ipod or the cd's. Cd's controlled by the jukebox, Ipod controls controlled from the ipod so I guess the only thing Id be doing is passing the sound into the jukebox speakers.

FYI I'm sending in the CD player pro unit for repair to some guy in NH and will take about 2 weeks plus shipping time.

GRRRRR I figured out a way to play my ipod over my jukebox speakers without giving up the ability to play the cds... However I didn't document it and now cant remember GRRRRRR.... it has something to do with  the AUX BGM input and while in setup mode entered quick prog #43 & 43 to turn on background sound and background volume.

I had my ipod plugged in the bgm aux input had it playing but reset the settings and now cant remember....
