Title: CHD Game runs fine but Audio is slow

I'm testing out CHDs for the first time and I can get Killer Instinct to load fine and the game play seems fine but the audio skips from time to time.  I tested this on v.143 - I read someone where that mameui32 handles this game better.  I attempted to run on mameui32 v129 and I get an error "chd version not supported."

After doing some searching around some one said to remove the files for cfg and diff folders but that did not help.  Someone also mentioned to run chdman copy -i kinst.chd -o new.chd from command line but it just gives me a list of commands.

any ideas?
