Title: SONY TRINITRON PVM-20N1U any info on these inputs?
Post by: tonyiommi on March 30, 2013, 11:55:46 pm
New member here but I've been a long time lurker. A chance to buy a PVM-20N1U has recently popped up but I have no idea what kind on inputs are on this thing. Can anyone shed a little light? I've attached an image that I've found of the inputs on the monitor.
Edit: Changed picture to one that showed the inputs a little better.
Edit 2: After hours of searching I'm pretty sure this is S-Video and composite but I need an adapter to run my consoles on this right? Not enough info around the internet about this model.

Yeah. I bet the manual describes them. Starts with a C. Or S, on the left.

I was browsing the forums and saw a post about a different PVM model that only accepted composite.  Someone on there mentioned using a RCA/Phono adapter. Do you think that would work for this? Sorry. I know nothing about these kind of things.

those silver connectors are for composite video. normally you would see rca connectors for composite video in retail electronics like tvs and what not.
this monitor here is a security camera monitor so it uses BNC connectors for composite video.
there are many RCA to BNC adapters, Google them or check at B&H photo
