Hi guys,
I have the chance to buy a 10" arcade monitor (for €75), is this a good opportunity?
Since I live in Europe i can get my hands on plenty of tv's with a scart connection.. So I'm not sure?

Would this monitor be good for running MAME ? If so, only really old games? Or also games like Street Fighter, etc..
I'm thinking of making a mini candy cab!
Thanks in advance!!

Getting your hands on a nos screen is a pretty rare opportunity. I'd take it. It's suitable for all 15khz games, so sf2 will be perfectly fine.

Thanks for the reply!
I'm new to arcade monitors so can you tell me what a nos screen is ?
Is the resolution for a 15khz screen always the same? Can i display the windows interface on it? (to run mame)
Would I need to get one of those special graphics card that output 15khz signal?
Sorry for all the questions! :)

Nos = new old stock
Resolution is the same with every 15khz monitor but I'm no expert on this one. You'll need a card that supports 15khz plus soft 15khz or crt emu driver or you'll have a scrambled screen. You can display windows in 640x480 interlaced or lower resolutions.

Awesome! Thanks !

That tube would make a nice mini-cab. Any CRT is worth grabbing at this point if you don't have one. Even if you don't plan on playing arcade games, they will have allot of collector value in the next 10+ years.

Google: nos. Fifth result down.
OR, you can enter "nos arcade". Third result down.
Anyways. Pretty.
