Title: MALA hotkeys for pause?

my apologies if this is a rokie question but I'm new to MALA and am trying to figure out hotkeys.  i would liek to assign "P" for pause for emu's that don't have a mappable buttons.  will hotkeys in MALA be able to do this?

EDIT: just wanted to update in case anyone else was looking for an answer.  i'm not using MALA hot keys but am instead launching via pre-command an app i have called "pause" (can't remember the author).  so all my emu's that didn't pause with the "P" key, do so now.
