Title: Putting a fuse in my 60-in-1

I'm building a 60-in-1. I have a LCD monitor and I'm using a pc power supply for the board. I'm wiring it all and I'm not seeing the need for installing a fuse on the power input. Should I?

The power supply will have an internal fuse and other overload circuits to protect it so another fuse is probably not required.  If however you are using the AC anywhere else in the cab it should be fused.

That's a great question.  Can I also ad to it?  I wired in a surge protector power strip.  Is this enough protection for everything plugged in?  Power supply (has internal fuse), LCD monitor, and a light fixture?

I personally think you're more than safe with a surge protector. Think of your computer desk (if you don't use a notebook)... You have your tower (power supply), monitor, and probably some speakers and/or a desk lamp all plugged safely into one surge protector. I'm doing this for a trade on a couple classics and didn't really want to invest a surge protector in it. I just wired a wall socket and light fixture right in and plugged the monitor/ps into the socket.

Thanks, I still decided to put a 3amp in-line fuse on the load side before the switch.  Under $5 worth of no headaches or after thoughts.
