Try going over the connections. Pull the spade connectors off the switches and clean them with a small wire brush. Also pull all the plugs out of the mech-controller and plug them back in. It could just be a connection issue.

Hello Karetaker,
Yes the issue could be connection problems, dry joints (cold joints USA) on the connection pins. Going over the connections (resoldering) is ok if the person can correctly solder, but it wants to be to the connection pins only if anyone then starts going over any of the component connections it cost an hefty sum to correct this practice.
From a technicians point of view you are best to leave it alone to get a cheaper repair should it have to go into a workshop for repair.
Re cleaning connections the best way is to use a pencil rubber (eraser) for any tracks using wipers and other connections such as the pins above use one of those fibre glass pencil (used on watch battery connections etc).

Thanks for your answers all !! I will check AGAIN the connections........I also have another question:when did "the red led"HOME and LINK must or should lit ??? Because "they seems" to NEVER lit at all !!! So if you can tell me..........MANY THANKS
-
Hello tipiakP,
The Home led lights at possition 99 and the index led pulses as it counts the teeth from number 99 (it has a hole in the drive gear at this position).
If both the index & home leds do not flash there will be a fault on the Mechanism Control Unit or the opto switch.

I agree when it comes to soldering. But, it doesn't take a technician to pull plugs off and re-seat them. As long as he cleans the switch terminals with the power off it will be fine.

One of mine is doing the same - grabs a disc, spins for a second, then puts back into the carousel. Repeat then gives up. I'll pull it back out and go over all the connections and see if that helps, per this thread.

Hello DLinkOZ
Your situation may be a little different. From what you describe it looks like you may need to just replace the optic assembly in your cd player.

Exactly, everything else looks solid.
