Title: Config files for other emulators?
Post by: elshiftos on March 23, 2013, 03:09:40 pm
For example, I have snes9x setup in mala as an 'other' emulator. However, I can't find reference to 'snes9x' inside any of the files in the mala folder and sub-folders. Also had a look through the registry and my home folder on c: but nothing. Where are they hiding?!

Thanks

In my mala folder, .mlt just contains tree information and .ml0 etc are game lists.

In mala.ini I have this reference to mame: 'Exe=D:\Games\Emulators\MameUIFX32\mame.exe' but there's no reference anywhere to the other emulators I have setup in mala.

OK, so I dug some more. It is hiding in mala.mle

This matches my setup in that file
Code: [Select]
Nintendo SNES.)..\..\_retro\ninsnes\game\emus\zsnesw.exe....\..\_retro\ninsnes\game\roms...zip...."%path%\%rom%.%ext%".....)..\..\pics\nintendo super nes\named_snaps.*..\..\pics\nintendo super nes\named_titles./..\..\pics\nintendo super nes\named_frontcovers.............Screen

That's the one, thanks man!  :)

The reason I couldn't find this with XP's 'find a phrase within a file' search is because it doesn't search all files by default, and after all these years of using XP, I've only just discoved that! There's info on how to enable all files search here: http://support.microsoft.com/kb/309173 (http://support.microsoft.com/kb/309173)

Cheers

That's why I use Agent Ransack instead of Windows search. Can even use regex.
