I am running windows XP pro on my machine and I have the resolution at 640x480 to match my princeton arcadia monitor. To get 640x480 I had to go into the display adapter to select the lower resolution. Now every time the machine boots, a Display Settings bubble pops up over by the clock that prompts me to change the resolution to a higher level. Is there any way to supress this?
Thanks,
Cameron

Does this happen for you guys too?

If you use TweakUI, there's a part you can uncheck called "Enable Balloon Tips". That should do it.

here ya go :

just follow directions and disable the Balloon tips by hand in your registry. No point in downloading and installing something when it can easily be turned off with just a little effort on your part. (beats downloading a .vbs that maybe a trojan, worm, or some other virus ;D )

I saw that too...this was just easier. And NOT a trojan/virus/or other crawly thing (I always open scripts with notepad and read the code first...wouldn't have recomended it otherwise). ;)
