Title: Where in my coin door does this thing go?
Post by: jasonbar on March 18, 2013, 01:31:21 pm
I accidentally knocked off this black plastic thing from the inside of my Pinball 2000 coin door (RFM manufactured for France) the other day. I think it was near the top of the coin door inside mech stuff, since I knocked it off when pulling out the playfield & the playfield caught on this & popped it off.

I can't figure out where it goes.

Help!

Thanks,
-Jason

It should cover the coin-up switch located under the coin mech.

Thanks, but I'm afraid that I'm still not getting it.

My coin door has a gap where the coin mech is to be inserted. Under that is the coin return box/flap. To its left is the bank of 4 adjustment/menu buttons.

I don't see any switch directly under the space where the coin mech goes.

Perhaps it would also be helpful to describe the orientation of this piece when installed. I.e., does the "missing" face of the piece face downward? Which way does that corner cutout or 2 slots face?

Thanks in advance. :]

Your machine would have had an electronic coin acceptor and thus did not need a coin switch or the cover for the coin switch.

Weird, that is. So, either this was covering nothing or it was just stuck solidly in/on the coin door covering nothing...?

Well, does anybody want this, since I can't seem to figure out where it goes anyway? :]

Thanks,
