Title: Sega Virtua Golf trackball help

I have a Sega Virtua Golf control panel that I am going to wire up.  It is brand new.  The trackball doesn't roll that freely.  Is there something that I can do to get it to roll a little faster for games like Golden Tee?  I have seen a couple of different suggestions, but I want to make sure I get it right the first time.

Could not pm you.  I am curious if you ever came up with a solution for better roll of your trackball?  Have you happened to adapt your trackball to run gt boards?
