I just recently purchased a gt fore machine for $325. All works well but the glass is very dirty on the inside and the display looks to be getting fuzzy. I know nothing of arcade restoration or electronics but would like to attempt to make this one better.
Is it easy to just hand a tv on the wall, chop the top and run the a/v cord to the new tv?
If not, how expensive is it to replace the monitor inside and where can i get that?
Is it easy to remove the glass covering the monitor for cleaning?
Thanks,

You need to know what type of Monitor you have. Best bet is to take lots of pictures of your chassis and monitor and they will help you identify it. Take pictures of any labels. They can help you lots. Not sure what those components are? Well here is a pretty good side was pic of one. The chassis is the part on the left with the boards on it. There is a lot of different parts to it try not to touch much of the parts until you learn about them. Lots of high voltage back there that can kill you. This may be a pretty easy fix or you will be ripping your hair out. Good luck and welcome to the crazy.
