So I'm running COINOPS off a modded xbox. I have an ipac 2 encoder for my control panel. Until very recently, everything was working perfect. I don't know what happened, but now the coin insert buttons don't work. I've tried getting new wire and trying a new button. It wasn't until I plugged in my XBOX controller to test, and referencing this chart (http://www.ultimarc.com/xba.html (http://www.ultimarc.com/xba.html)) that I realized my coin1 button was mapped to XBOX back button. When on the coinops game select menu, and I press my "coin 1" button, it brings up information about the game which is default mapped to left analog click. I haven't plugged the ipac into my pc, so i couldn't have messed up any key mapping. Anyone else know what could have gone wrong?

Depends which version of CoinOPS are you using?
I had loads of issues with CoinOPS 2 losing all the mapping, but I know that has all changed now thanks to BP with CoinOPS 5.
He can be contacted at the support forums. (http://coinopsproject.freeforums.org/coinops-f1.html)

There is a really great Xbox controller utility/app that will show exactly how your controls are mapped. This is easier than hooking the ipac up to a PC.
Check out the forum ark posted. (disclosure: I'm a mod there)

My encoder kept losing its marbles because my lockbar on my pinball wasn't grounded properly. I'd walk up and zap - the encoder forgot its program. Good grounding made the problem go away.
