Title: Rowe Ami Nostalgia Problems
Post by: tony1970m on March 02, 2013, 04:28:04 am
Hi
I have a few questions for you, would be grateful if anyone could help.
I own a Rowe Ami Nostalgia 100cd Jukebox, i bought it from new about 8yrs ago, recently it has stopped playing cds, I press a selection it picks it up puts it down and spins slowly stopping and starting for about 10 seconds then returns it, any ideas what could be the matter with it.
Also one of the tubes has no liquid in it is it easy it replace?
The Jukebox has never been serviced would you recommend it needs one,
Could you recommend anyone in the Epsom area and how much this should cost
Kind Regards
Tony ]

Hello Tony

It sounds like your cd player's optic is going bad.  I carry rebuild kits for the CDM12 Industrial, and CD Pro (1252/10) models.  An 8 year old machine, you most likely have the CD Pro model. You may want to confirm though. If you are interested in a rebuild kit send me a message.

As for your second question, you can buy replacement tubes at www.victoryglass.com (http://www.victoryglass.com). The tubes are not hard to replace.

Lastly, Epsom, NH?  If so, Bruce Wentworth is in Plaistow, NH. You can find him at www.abjukeboxrepair.com (http://www.abjukeboxrepair.com). He may be able to help you with servicing the jukebox.

Good luck.

John

Alan Hood (ami-man) is in the UK. I think he services jukeboxes.

Hello Tony,

The only place you are goingto get a replacement tube is from victory glass www.victoryglass.com (http://www.victoryglass.com)

If you want to contact me directly showing pictures of your laser and mechanism control I can deterimin what laser is fitted and then suggest what boards that you should send for testing/repair.

Regards
Alan
