Title: Arcade Monitor Interference Issue [Solved]
Post by: Jollywest on March 01, 2013, 08:21:40 am
I have a interference issue with my Sanwa 29e31s arcade monitor.

It may have always been there or it may be its just getting worse or it's just bugging me more.

It's a pc emulated sm2 / sm3 driving cab using original control panel & an immersion ffb pcb.

I have the monitor earthed, as well as the rest of all the metal parts of the cab to the mains earth cable powering the cab. I've checked this cable and it contains an earth cable as well as the cable coming into the socket.

I also have a mame'd cabinet connected to the same socket which has no interference.

I think from how it's described it is the 'herringbone' interference.

I've read ken laytons fix of running a jumper cable from psu fg to psu gnd but as I've ditched the original arcade psu for the pc psu, does this even apply to my setup and if so any ideas of how to go about it?

EDIT

Problem solved - Thanks goes to Ken  Even though I ditched the original arcade PSU, I attached the FG and GND on the 24V FFB PCB PSU and it sorted it.
