Title: Adjusting OptiPAC "mouse" sensitivity
Post by: Brad Lee on November 06, 2003, 10:27:10 am
Last night I installed the new Activision Anthology on my cabinet, and it works great for joystick games. I started KaBoom! which uses a paddle, and it was sluggy for spinning. I've got an optipac with a spinner, and mouse acceleration is off. Normally to adjust the sensitivity Id just use the mame config, but there's no settings in Activision games.

Would I be better off going into the mouse properties and setting the speed there, or using a utility like ps2rate and leaving acceleration off?

It's better to increase the mouse/pointer speed than the acceleration in the mouse properties for most games, IMO.

Changing this in windows will not effect mame at all.  (It will affect dmame if you run dosmame through windows.)
