Title: Trackball PS/2 Adapter, Buttons, and Wiring
Post by: MamedInCanada on February 24, 2013, 09:22:31 pm
I'm trying to set up my trackball with a ps/2 adpater I bought from MikesArcade.

http://www.mikesarcade.com/cgi-bin/store.pl?sku=AGSTBINTPS2 (http://www.mikesarcade.com/cgi-bin/store.pl?sku=AGSTBINTPS2)

On the trackball molex I have the following wires
V Bl G
Y R Blk

On the adapter the molex wires lining up are

Y R BLK
Br Tan W

I've searched for wiring diagrams and can't figure out. Can't get up and down working, left an right do.

What 3 Buttons should be wired for the ps/2 adapter? Player 1 Start, Player 1 Coin, and Button 1?

Thanks

Fixed my trackball, MikesArcade adapter worked, the trackball was a little loose.

Wondering still what buttons I should use with the trackball. I here the buttons act like those on a mouse
Can I choose any three? Player 1 Start, Coin, and Button 1. Do I attach them in series to the NO button switch?

depends what you`re using the trackball for, if you have a control panel with buttons on it you can use those, its how you configure the games you`re using , i`m using 2 1/4 inch trackball and havent connected the buttons for it to anything at all , using player 1 buttons instead
