I thought it was going to take full cds.  Hopefully if they use minidisks, it will be able to use normal ones... and play music on it...  And then maybe they can add a phone... yeah!

But really... I think it looks pretty cool... Hope its not 400+ to buy one... And it would be GREAT if they added some homebrew abilities to it... (I don't know why they wouldn't... but it would be nice...)

It doesn't take CD's or Minidisks, it takes a new format that Sony is creating called UMD.  It hold 1.8 gigs per disk.

It also takes the sony memory sticks so you should be able to play mp3's and such and I think it should also open it up to homwbrew emu stuff.

Also price wise I would think 300-350 maybe 400 but I would imagine it staying that high for long because they want to compete with Nintendo.
