I ordered a PC to Jamma converter off eBay last week and am trying to get my existing jamma cabinet up and running with it. Unfortunately, I am getting no video on my arcade monitor. Does anyone have any ideas on something I might try? I have tried two different setups with my PC. First, I tried a windows xp setup using an arcadevga card. The arcadevga card was also recently purchased, so i have not yet confirmed that it is in 100% working condition. Second, I tried a dos setup using arcadeos and a standard ati video card, just so i could rule out the arcadevga card as the problem. Unfortunately, I still got no video to my arcade monitor. Any other ideas on something I could try? Is there any additional info I can provide?
Here is the documentation I got with my converter:

For whatever it's worth, I did a little research on my monitor, in case that proves to be useful. I have an electrohome g07.

First off, you need to follow these installation instructions for your AVGA: http://ultimarc.com/avgainst.html (http://ultimarc.com/avgainst.html)
It needs to be setup first hooked up to a computer monitor through the DVI port. After you have it setup you need to set the resolution in Windows to something that will work with your arcade monitor (640x480 is a good place to start).
Second, there is no keyway on your PC2JAMMA board. You need to make sure you've got it connected to the JAMMA harness correctly (parts side and solder side).
Third, you bought an AVGA, you should have bought a JPAC instead of the PC2JAMMA board.

Thanks for your feedback.
I have the original AGP ArcadeVGA and I was able to at least get it displaying properly on my PC monitor. However, I will confirm what my resolution was and review the instructions a second time to make sure I didn't miss anything.
I did notice the keying on the pc2jamma board and made sure to orient it appropriately to match the labels on my jamma harness, with the component side up.
I wondered if using a JPAC might work any better. What would be the advantage over the PC2JAMMA board?

I have returned the PC2JAMMA board, since the store I bought it from also was at a loss for more suggested steps that I could take. If I decide to continue with the project, I will likely check further into a JPAC.

Just in case anyone is curious after reading this thread in the future, I did finally buy a JPAC. I had output to my arcade monitor immediately upon hooking it up, so it seems that there may have been some kind of incompatibility with my setup and the other adapter (or the adapter was faulty).

Good decision. I've found that even though they are slightly pricey, the ArcadeVGA and J-PAC together will get you to a known-good state very quickly. You can tweak to your liking from there.
